Lions and Tigers and Cheetahs, oh my!

Today we went to the San Diego Safari Park. Catherine and I did the "Ultimate Safari" which was a 5 hour tour customized to what we wanted to see. We had a ton of hands on experience along with a super up close meet and greet with my favorite animal, a cheetah!

Before we even got into the park I found a deer on the side of the road and fed it.
...but then I got in trouble with security.
Us with our tour guide, Andy.

Our first stop was inside the lions' den!

Next, we went to feed the giraffes!

such a cute little guy!

After feeding the giraffes we went over to the other side of "africa" to feed the rhinos!

Then we went to where they keep their animal ambassadors when they aren't at a show. Here we met a beautiful cheetah, Manjani and his dog companion, Clifford.

After meeting Manjani and Clifford, we met a minature ant eater named luna.

After we left we went to meet some of the cutest little deer-like animals I've ever seen. They loved their biscuits and one even tried to eat my hair.

Then we went to tiger trail to meet the tiger CUBS! They were the cutest things in the world. Mama tiger wasn't too happy to see us though. She showed her teeth and gave us quite the stare. I was glad we were separated by a fence..

Sadly, the tiger cubs were the end of our ultimate safari. It was one of the coolest things I had ever experienced and I hope one day I can again! Luckily for us the day wasn't over with the safari. We got to see the cheetah run.

The cheetah run is where you get to see the cheetah run at top speed (75mph) on a track the length of a football field. It took the cheetah that ran today 5.5 seconds.

Swami's, Shopping, and Exotic Birds

We started our day with brunch at Swami's. We had the Acai bowl and wheat waffles and pancakes. So yummy!

After breakfast we went downtown to Seaport Village where we shopped at little booths of hand made jewelry. We met the cutest couple at one of the booths, where we all ended up buying something. After that we kept walking when we ran into two men with birds...

He bit off my button.

Thirty.

Thirty Switchfoot concerts. Thirty! I cannot believe all the great memories I have had with these boys for the past 6 years. They have all been worth wild, but last night was different. It was the best experience ever.
First off, I didn't need my tickets so I had the priveledge of giving my tickets to the sweetest little boy and his dad. They got to go backstage. He was so cute!

The meet and greet was an unusual setup, but turned out to be one of the best times talking to the guys.

I got a pic from Tim, he signed it:

I also got to show Jon the drawing I did of him for my school's art show that won first place in its category! He loved it, and wants a copy:)

...and of course Jon, being the fabulous guy he is asked me what song I wanted to hear to celebrate my 30th show. I picked by far the best show ever in concert, Gone (sorry Ike, I know you don't like it anymore...) and he said he would give me a shout out....sure enough... at the end of Gone he says "That song goes out to Jordan" let me tell ya...I did not think he was going to do it. I have to admit I had a fangirl moment for the first time since my first few concerts. But its okay, i regained control of myself very quickly.

After the show I worked Merch with Bobby. It was my second or third time working. We had so much fun!

Best guy ever. Love you, Ike!

After working merch and everyone had gone I said by to Bobby until June:( but then I went to talk to Jon again. I told him thanks for the incredible night and the shout out...and he FINALLY got to see my car tag in person...not just in pictures...

I'd say he liked it!

Next up...BROAM!
